Over the holidays, my husband and I took a trip to Ghana with some of my good friends. This trip goes down in history as yet again life-changing. My husband is still looking for words to describe our trip. He says it was a culture shock. One of the most memorable moments was our tour of the Elmina Castle in Cape Coast, Ghana.
This was my second visit to the castle but it was just as chilling and soul-shaking as the first time I went. It’s true, you can still smell the blood of the slave.
